Grants & Awards
Graduate Student Travel Grants
A limited number of travel grants for SITAR graduate student members will be available. To apply for a travel grant, include the phrase “Consider me for a SITAR Graduate Student Travel Grant” in your proposal for the annual conference. An applicant will need to be a graduate student member of SITAR or become a student member in order to be considered for an award.
Wiggins Student Award
To be considered for the Jerry S. Wiggins Student Award for Outstanding Interpersonal Research, students should indicate their desire to participate by including the phrase “Enroll me in the Wiggins Award Competition” in their proposal. Note that starting in 2016, the Wiggins Student Award will be only eligible for student paper presenters (talks). Students who present a poster will be eligible for the newly created Poster Award (see below). More information on eligibility can be found here.
Poster Award
To be considered for the newly created Poster Award, applicants should indicate their interest to participate by including the phrase “Enroll me in the Poster Award Competition” in their proposal. After acceptance of the submission, posters should be submitted via email to Johannes Zimmermann at least one week prior to the conference (July 22, 2016). The poster award is open to anyone – not just students! We will use a two-part judging process: The Awards Committee will evaluate the posters before the conference, creating a list of the top choices. At the conference, judges will then visit the posters of the top applicants in order to assess presentation style before determining the winner. The winner will be announced at the start of the 2nd day of the conference.
